September Reading Vlog 2018

"Of all the delectable islands the Neverland is the snuggest and most compact, not large and sprawly, you know, with tedious distances between one adventure and another, but nicely crammed."

Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie

September was such a good reading month! I don't know how it has taken me this long to get around to reading Peter Pan (I've seen the Disney movie and have been on the ride plenty of times), but it was just delightful and surprisingly snarky. 😂 Another favorite was Mary Stewart's Thronyhold:

"I can hardly remember now what I had imagined Cousin Geillis's home to be like. The reality is always very different from a mental forecast, and inevitably wipes out the false image."

Isn't Geillis a beautiful name? This was a perfect cozy read for fall with just the right amount of suspense and romance to spice it up.
