Disneyland Trip Report & Vlogs

Last summer my family was planning a big trip out West, and while the main attractions were going to be the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone and different national parks (I've been sharing those vlogs over on my Patreon page!), we realized that we could squeeze in a quick Disneyland jaunt at the beginning!

I've just finished posting all the vlogs over on my YouTube channel. 😄 Our arrival day was July Fourth, and we got to see the Independence Day fireworks from the E Ticket Club on the top floor of the Disneyland Hotel. The desserts were amazing too. 🍰

The next day we were up early to take advantage of the Extra Magic Hour for resort guests - we had Disney's California Adventure all to ourselves! It's so crazy to look back at these and realized that Paradise Pier is now going to be PIXAR Pier...just another reason to plan another trip. 😉 We really enjoyed the brand new Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: BREAKOUT!

I was SO excited to be reunited with the Motorama Girls at Flo's! Carsland blew me away just like it did on our last trip - Radiator Springs Racers is so great, and the shops and restaurants are so well themed and immersive. 😍

One amazing thing about Disneyland is how close the parks and hotels are to each other - we were able to pop back over to the Grand Californian for brunch at Storyteller's Cafe. the characters were fantastic!

The afternoon was dedicated to the park that started it all...DISNEYLAND! Although the crowds were insane and we had some snafus (like the monorail going down and almost missing our Space Mountain Fastpass!), we still had such a fun time. The highlight was getting stuck on Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and having to walk out through...nowhere in particular... 😂

I really wanted to see World of Color - it's one of my favorite Disney nighttime shows - and it was SO much fun to watch it from the viewing deck for resort guests at the Grand Californian rather than having to fight through the crowds to see it from inside the park. I really liked the slightly elevated view too - you really got a panoramic view of California Adventure!

Our last morning was spent soaking in the Disneyland hotels. It was a very quick trip, but SUCH a fun one! ✨
