Happy St. Patrick's Day, everyone!
The holiday and all the green everywhere have me dreaming of Ireland and our amazing week there last summer...so why not take a quick blog trip back?
This island truly is so green and lush - even the rainy days (which were unfortunately pretty frequent during our June trip) felt so colorful...
But then Ireland is a pretty colorful place! From the houses...
...to the boats!
We had two boat/ferry trips during our stay - one to Skellig Michael and one to the Aran Islands. Both times the sea was very choppy and rough, not so much fun, although it was worth it to visit those two.
The day we were initially supposed to travel to Skellig Michael the boat was cancelled because the weather was so bad - so we spent it exploring instead.
I see Skelligs in the mist!
The wind was absolutely crazy along the cliffs...
...and the cliffs themselves were absolutely stunning!
If you love stone walls, then the Aran Islands is paradise. It is criss-crossed by SO many!
There was sunshine on the Aran Islands, but it was another chilly day - a good excuse to buy a new scarf! This one smelled overwhelmingly of sheep, but oddly I think that made me love it even more.
Last but not least, as it is St. Patrick's Day, I couldn't leave out our visit to Croagh Patrick in County Mayo.
Looking up towards the mountain was inspiring and so was looking back down towards the bay!
Horseback riders crossing the sands - that looks so fun!
Now if you've been wondering where all the videos from our England and Ireland have gotten too, I'm happy to tell you won't have to wait anymore!
As I recently announced on YouTube, I just launched a Patreon page - new videos from our trip will be going up every week for patrons. Watch to find out more details or visit the page: patreon.com/bookishprincess.
I hope everybody had a grand day!
