There's a Yack on Your Nose: Tibetan Proverbs at the Animal Kingdom

Pretty soon the brand new "Rivers of Light" water show will be opening up on the lagoon at the Animal Kingdom.  I wish this had opened just a bit sooner so we could have caught it during our trip earlier this month - I can't wait to check it out!

I do have to admit though, there's one thing I'll miss about the construction at the Animal Kingdom...

...the Tibetan proverbs!  The walls blocking off the water where the construction has been happening have been covered with these clever sayings, such as, "Don't notice the flea in someone else's hair when you have a yack on your own nose."  Also...

Easter Eggs at Walt Disney World

I know an "Easter egg" can mean a hidden secret - but in today's post, we're talking about actual Easter eggs at Walt Disney World!

There's a new video up on my channel all about our experience with the Epcot "EGGstravaganza" Egg Hunt around World Showcase.

It was exciting to pick up the cute map and set off to look for the character eggs in each country, but it was a hot, hot, crowded Saturday, and as you can hear about in the video, it got old fast.  This is really an activity for a cool, uncrowded, leisurely Epcot morning, not a Saturday afternoon when the park is packed, and you've already been on your feet all day.

Wandering all around the Japan pavilion...where is that darn egg??

SoHo Shopping & Purl SoHo | NYC Trip Report

When I last left off in my NYC trip report, my cousin Becky and I had just finished browsing in some pretty fabulous New York City bookstores.  One of them, the Housing Works, is located in SoHo...

...so we decided to do some exploring - and some more shopping!

The buildings and fire escapes are like works of art!

I'm very sorry, but I don't think 15% off constitutes a "SUPER DUPER" sale.  I do like the fluffy blue coat though.  And the skirt.  If I lived in New York, that's exactly the sort of thing I'd wear.

Window shopping is at its finest in SoHo - each shop tells its own story.  I love the chandeliers and furniture - and the purses hanging like art on the walls!

Our destination was a store Becky, who loves knitting, was excited to see: PURL SOHO!
