I hope everybody had a Halloween that was just supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! I did already post some of my favorite selfies from our Disney Halloween trip this year, but I've been going through the pics and thought I'd share a few more...
Come on, then, let's get going to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party - spit spot!
Getting ready for the party is half the fun, and the Grand Floridian was a practically-perfect-in-every-way setting for Mary Poppins and crew.
Pink Petticoats? Check. Parrot Parasol? Check.
Bert (my brother Athos) and I naturally wanted to take some photos around the Grand before we headed over to the Halloween Party, but we found it surprisingly difficult. Almost as soon as we stepped off the elevator in the lobby, little voices started yelling, "MARY POPPINS!" I felt flattered and bad for inadvertantly fooling them both at once! We couldn't stop - as soon as we paused, other people would stop and ask if they could take a picture with us. We, of course, told them we were just guests (they still wanted a picture though!), and they were really nice - but it was kinda crazy...
HIDE, BERT, WE'RE SURROUNDED!
Wind's in the east, mist coming in...like a HALLOWEEN PARTY brewing, about to begin!
The carousel was a must-ride for Mary and Bert. Naturally I won the horse race. ;)
We also got to meet Jane, Terk, and Tarzan this year (last year we only managed to catch Terk!).
Jane and I swapped notes on parasols - you can watch it in the new video - she was perfect! Tarzan was interested in my "jungle animal" (the parrot on my parasol)...he was also incredibly underclothed...lol.
I saw a number of other Mary Poppins in the crowds - this sweet lady asked if she could take a pic with me, and I wanted one on my camera too - two Mary's!
We stopped in the emporium to grab some cute MNSSHP shirts - one of my YouTube subscribers, Christie recognized me! There was also a Minnie Mouse who said "Hi, Emma!" in passing right after the parade - I wish I'd had a chance to chat!
I was pretty exhausted by the end of the night, but the lights of Main Street were so gorgeously spooky I almost didn't want to leave. It was certainly a jolly holiday of a Halloween party!
