The best way to enjoy the bright colors of the Boardwalk area at Walt Disney World is with something sweet in your hand...
...luckily there's a Boardwalk Bakery to supply the dessert, including today's Disney treat: a Mango Vanilla Panna Cotta!
There are sooo many beautiful things behind the counter at the Boardwalk Bakery. It's always such a dilemma to choose just one!
Someday I'd like to try their Napoleon...isn't it beautiful with the half-chocolate dipped strawberry on top?
And of course if we get to talking about the cupcakes, I'm just going to get completely distracted. The specialty cupcake this summer was a coconut and lemongrass creation.
But to find today's dessert we're going to look to the far corner of the case...see that elegant yellow-and-white striped Mango Vanilla Panna Cotta?
There was a creaminess from the vanilla and a refreshing tropical and fruity tang from the mango. The consistency of the panna cotta was a little bit like jello, only lighter. The raspberries and crunchy cookie slice on top added the perfect finishing touch.
The mango panna cotta was my dessert; the delectable fresh mozzarella sandwich with oven-dried tomatoes and arugula on focaccia was my main meal. That herb aioli mayonnaise is perfection!
It's fun to sit on the Boardwalk and watch the crowds go by; if you're staying at the Boardwalk Resort, you can take your dinner up to your balcony and watch the scene from above!
That Crescent Lake view is one of my favorite things, and the yummy panna cotta was the perfect accompaniment to it!
