Disney Christmas Decorations: Bay Lake Tower

'Tis the season to deck the halls, and I've been dreaming of some of the fabulous holiday swag at Walt Disney World.  There are so many amazing trees and gingerbread houses - every corner of every resort seems to get trimmed for the occasion!

The corner we're looking at today is Bay Lake Tower - the home of the villas at Disney's Contemporary Resort.  Even before you enter this sleek lobby, you'll find over-sized swags and wreaths flanking the entrance...

I absolutely love the way this wreath is dripping with crystal strings - it reminds me of the golden beads on the wreaths at Coronado Springs.

I may have to drop by the craft store to try to recreate this twinkly, sparkly look.  I bet it wouldn't be too difficult - just draping an old necklace or a strand of beads through an evergreen wreath would do it!

Recreating that extra-large Mickey wreath on the outside of the main tower at the Contemporary might be a little more difficult! ;)  I love the big tree out front and the Grand Canyon Concourse at this time of year, but today we're all about the DVC decorations...

There's more to see inside the swishing doors!  The giant palm trees are so fabulous - at this time of year they're joined by some evergreen trees packed with plenty of lights.

Swags crammed with glitzy ornaments frame the walkways.

Here's another view of the space.  With those cool walls and hip chandeliers that are up all year-round, you know they're going to have to pull out something extra impressive for the Christmas season.

These enormous beaded ornaments are just the ticket!  Love the funky shapes.

There are miniature versions of the blue baubles on the tree by the door.

I love how the star on top of the evergreen is practically scraping the ceiling - so tall!

One last photo: gotta love it when cast members see you taking photos and strike a fantastic pose. ;)
