Well, we just returned home from our summer Disney trip, and it was fabulous!
I've been sharing the highlights on instagram and twitter, and I tried to edit together a quick video every evening with the day's adventures for my youtube channel.
While I get all the rest of the photos and videos uploaded and sorted, I figured I'd collect the live vlogs here. :)
Day One: arrival day is always so exciting!! We checked into a royal room at Port Orleans Riverside (it was gorgeous!) and spent some time at Downtown Disney.
The Magic Kingdom was our first park day - we got to ride the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train for the first time!
Day three was possibly my favorite day. We checked into the Contemporary for a one-night stay in a standard room...we were upgraded to an incredible suite on the fourteenth floor!! We mostly spent the day at the resort, but we did head over to the Magic Kingdom to watch the Festival of Fantasy parade and to use our FP+ to meet Anna and Elsa!
I didn't want to leave the next day...we enjoyed the suite some more and then hopped over to the Magic Kingdom again!
I was SO excited to see all the Frozen Fun going on at Hollywood Studios. The singalong and the snow were so much fun - and those cupcakes!!
A lazy day of resort relaxation, hanging out at Art of Animation and the Animal Kingdom Lodge.
Athos and I got to do the WILD AFRICA TREK on this trip. It was absolutely incredible - crossing the rope bridges over the crocodiles, getting up close and personal with some hippos, and relaxing on the beautiful boma out on the savannah. I can't wait to post more about this!
A rollicking good lunch at Whispering Canyon Cafe, a stop by the Beach Club, and an Epcot evening!
We ended the trip with a wonderful stay at the Grand Floridian's Royal Palm Club. Listening to the band while snacking on club food was perfection. They had just finished renovation, so the carpets and furnishings and room decor were all new!
Our last day started out well with a kitchen sink at Beaches and Cream, but then Athos lost his glasses in Crescent Lake as we were walking to Epcot. You'll have to check back for the video to see how that ended. ;)
